Allyson Felix Set to Race at Jamaica International Invitational in KingstonBy Adam Kopet, DyeStat Editor The IAAF reports that Allyson Felix will race May 20 at the Jamaica International Invitational in Kingston. The meet is the first stop of the IAAF World Challenge series. This will be the six-time Olympic gold medalist's fourth occasion competing in the Jamaican capitol going back to when Felix finished fifth in the 200 at the 2002 IAAF World Junior Championships at age 16. In recent years, she has used the Jamaica International Invitational as an early season speed test, racing the 100-meter dash. Felix finished fourth in 2013 and third in 2015. Olympic 100- and 200-meter champion Elaine Thompson and 100-meter hurdles world record holder Keni Harrison have also committed to competing at the Jamaica International Invitational. More news |
